Join us for a FREE, transformative 3-week virtual workshop where young aspiring leaders aged 18–25 explore how geospatial data storytelling drives environmental action in their communities. Through hands-on sessions, collaboration, and mentorship, you'll investigate environmental injustice, explore civic innovation, and tell powerful, place-based stories through digital mapping.

While there are no prerequisites, participants must have a willingness to engage! Collaborate with peers to develop actionable projects that will be showcased at the end of the program.

Key Program Dates: July 22 - August 7, 2025

  • Time Commitment: 8-10 hours per week

  • Core Instruction, Project Work, & Lab Sessions: Held weekly via Zoom on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3-5 PM ET.

  • Project Team Meetings: Small group sessions held weekly to collaborate on your capstone projects, receive peer feedback, and work directly with mentors.

  • Additional Office Hours: Drop-in support sessions available weekly for technical assistance, project guidance, and one-on-one mentorship with instructors.

  • Final Showcase Event: Present your mini-capstone at the virtual showcase on Thursday, August 7th! Held via Zoom from 4-5 ET.
